Longtime motorsports business, Roundy's closes in North Spokane

After 35 years of operation Roundy's last day of business occurred earlier this month. Roundy's went out of business in part due to the economy and the owner's retirement. The business has operated in Spokane for the companies entire life and for most of that time span as Roundy's Kawasaki. The Kawasaki name was dropped only a few years ago when the business ended the Kawasaki affiliation to focus more on it's Can Am motorcycle and Sea Doo Watercraft sales.

Roundy's was located at 11008 N Newport Hwy in Mead and stayed a family business until the last day.

As far as the future of Roundy's former business location, that is a bright spot in the closure as the retail building on the businesses former site has been already leased. The new tenant will be the Mead School District who is planning to use the building in the near future for it's STEM vocational school programs.

Mead School District will do only minor work to the building to bring it up to par for the new educational use. The school district hopes to move in sometime in July and will continue some of it's STEM schooling programs at the current Riverpoint Acadamy in Spokane's University District.
