Best Sandwich Shack in CdA awarded best sandwich in Idaho by Zagat

It's always good news when a local business wins a big award. And this is probably one of the biggest awards to be brought home for the Coeur d' Alene area in awhile . Best Sandwich Shack was recently awarded best sandwich in Idaho on Zagat's recent 50 states ,50 sandwiches feature .
The small business won with it's Chicken Bacon Cheddar Philly, a sandwich that is loaded with meat and cheese but then a helping a delicious bacon and ranch dressing is added making the sandwich a new take on a traditional Philly . Perhaps it's the new take on the sandwich or the size / taste but ether way the sandwich defiantly got the notice of the big boys of the culinary world , Zagat.

Zagat is considered by many to be the experts on restaurants world-wide with their many guide books and a popular web site at www.zagat.com . And it's that zagat.com web site where one can view the Chicken Bacon Cheddar Philly , as well as the winners from the other 50 states and the District of Columbia. A link to the story is at the bottom of this post.

Best Sandwich Shack is just a small place , in fact they are in a trailer nearby the freeway in Coeur d' Alene. But despite the size, the business has gathered a following and has been the topic of many local conversations. Best does make the fore-mentioned Philly along with a variety of other Philly sandwich styles. But for non-Philly lovers many other menu options are offered, like a turkey sandwich , sausage and even something called the grown up grilled cheese.

Best Sandwich Shack is easy to find too , located at 512 E. Best Ave. ( Best is the name of Appleway, after N. 4th St ) only about a block east of 4th St. and a short drive to the west from 15th St. in Coeur d' Alene .
