I checked in with The Flying Goat who has informed me that they are opening a new restaurant on the South Hill. But this new restaurant won't be the exact same and won't use The Flying Goat name. The new South Hill restaurant will be called Republic Pi and will also have pizza, just " slightly different".
With my own research I've also uncovered that Republic Pi will be located at 611 E. 30th Ave. And, that address should sound familiar to some. That's because the space was Vintages @ 611, a well known restaurant that was open for only a few years.
The photo above shows the building will undergo some work before the new business opens. Currently The Flying Goat says Republic Pi should open sometime around June or July of this year.
