There isn't a website for this place that we have found just yet, but intend to keep an eye on this new place as it progresses.

Weber Dental Center to anchor planned new building on Indiana in Spokane Valley.

Another new building is planned in the already fast growing area along Indiana in-between Sullivan and Flora Rd. in Spokane Valley. Plans are calling for construction to start in the fall on a new 12000 SF multi-tenant building that would be built on a vacant lot in-between the Hampton Inn and Uprise Church (  the former Hooters building ).

Weber Dental Center ( formerly branded as Weishaar Weber Dental ) will be the anchor tenant of the project, moving into an approx. 7000 SF section of the building from their current offices N. Evergreen. The remaining space will be available for lease with no tenant signed on just yet.

The new building is set to be completed during the Summer of 2022. No contractor is mentioned but architectural work was done by Trek Architecture of Spokane.

First phase of Ace Business Park is now complete in Spokane Valley

Crepes, Boba and NOLA inspired dishes all coming soon with several new restaurants opening in Kendall Yards

Kendall Yards is already home to several restaurants, from one of our favorite breakfast hangouts Yards Brucheon to couple of Indaba Coffee locations to Baba, a Mediterrian inspired restaurant that Chef Adam Hegsted recently opened in the former Wandering Table space and more.

But, three more places are planned to be opening in the near future in the Kendall Yards area, so be sure to mark your calendars. Here's what to be watching for....

Crepe Cafe Sisters

After spending the last couple of years operating out of food trucks and dashing around to all kinds of events, Crepe Cafe Sisters is taking the leap later this week into a new brick & mortar restaurant. With both sweet and savory crepes on the menu this new restaurant is planning their grand opening of Friday, May 14th from 8am-4pm in their newly created space 441 N. Nettleton, next to Indaba Coffee / Hello Sugar

The Tea Boba Bar

While we don't know the exact day they plan to open just yet, signage is up and it looks like we likely won't have to wait too much longer to get delicious boba tea's in Kendall Yards. Opening in the small space out front of The Inlander's offices will be The Tea Boba Bar and honestly we can't wait to check it out.

Vieux Carre NOLA Kitchen

While technically outside of the proper boundaries of Kendall Yards will be Vieux Carre NOLA Kitchen, but who cares where they are we're simply to excited not to mention this new restaurant coming soon to 1403 W. Broadway in West Central Spokane.

After months of renovating a large building that was last used as office space, Vieux Carre is now getting close to bringing a NOLA inspired menu to Spokane. They have started hiring and we're now hearing opening day will be June 1st!

The building will also be home to Gamers Haven, which is relocating here from Spokane Valley and a location of Maverick's Men's Hair.

But wait, could there be more?!?

If you haven't been though the Kendall Yards area lately then your missing one of the largest construction projects to come to the development. Crews are hard at work on two more large mixed use buildings in-between My Fresh Basket grocery store and the existing business district.

The ground floor of these buildings, which is a new development named Jefferson Alley, will be leased out for commercial uses. While we haven't heard anything official opening there yet I'd be willing to bet we'll get at least one new restaurant in there. Maybe even a food hall with some ethnic cuisines that hard to find in Spokane... Now I don't have remotely any info about that being a possibility, I just would like to see it happen so I thought maybe I'd drop a hint if someone reading this has more power then I...

Kendall Yards Night Market starts May 20th!

Also, we are now only one week away from the first weekly 2021 Kendall Yards Night Market which is held in the Kendall Yards Business District every Wed. ( May 20th - Sept 30th ) from 5-8pm.

While the Market is always packed full of local vendors, many food trucks also frequent this market, which will likely be a bit more open this year then last.

Renovations coming to former Downtown tire shop at 2nd & Browne

Many have probably noticed the vacant former Les Schwab tire shop at the corner of Second & Browne in Downtown Spokane. Les Schwab relocated sometime ago to another building along W. 3rd, leaving the current building abandoned.

But a new owner purchased the structure in 2020 and now we're told they plan to bring life back to it with a new use and construction starting as soon as this Summer. The approximately 7,500 square foot building will receive a full re-development and be converted into a strip mall like style building, divided into spaces for up to three businesses.

Looking over permits and plans, one of the spaces appears to be planned for a convenience store called Browne Street Market. The remaining spaces are being marketed for lease by real estate broker Chris Bell, SIOR of NAI Black, Those spaces are presently shown as available at $24 SF/yr NNN with several available uses, on site parking and a highly visible location in the heart of Spokane.

The property is also located immediately to east of the former Downtown Spokane Days Inn , which is also planned to be re-developed into a updated apartment community. We are tracking both projects so be sure to keep watching this site, and for more info on leasing space at the redeveloped Les Schwab contact Chris Bell at 509-622-3538 / cbell@naiblack.com .

WSECU to build branch at Division & Francis, more development likely in the area

Renderings from Bernardo Wills Architects.

With 60,000 plus vehicles every weekday traversing through the corner of Division & Francis in North Spokane, you've likely taken notice to site work that has been happening on the northwest side of this intersection.

The former Ace's Casino building that formerly stood on the corner was demolished sometime ago making way for this new development. Washington State Employees Credit Union ( WSECU ) plans to build a new modern looking branch on the site, directly at the corner. The new building will be approximately 4400 square feet according to permits and is planned to be complete in October.

The new WSECU building was designed locally by Bernardo Wills Architects, PC with Yost Gallagher Construction acting as the general contractor. But, that's not all that will likely call this corner home in due time.

Pre-development documents for this project also include a second phase. That phase will include a small shopping center and retail pad building on the northern half of the lot, in-between the new credit union location and the existing Moons Mongolian Grill anchored plaza. Those documents show upwards of 14,000 square feet of new commercial space and 5-6 new retail/restaurant units. But, for now the WSECU branch is the only part officially being built and will be their fourth branch in the Spokane area.

For more info on WSECU, visit their website at http://wsecu.org

Purgatory Whiskey & Craft Beer Bar coming to Downtown Spokane

A liquor license has been applied for an some signage is up for an exciting new bar coming soon to Downtown Spokane. Purgatory Whiskey & Craft Beer Bar will remodel and open at 524 W. Main, a storefront in the heart of Downtown that was last a chain taco shop called Chronic Tacos.

This new business will be a second location of bar that operates by the same name down in Tracy,CA. We attempted to contact that location for info but have yet to receive a comment. We can assume however that the new Spokane location will very much like the original location with a decent food menu, cocktails, craft beer an impressive whiskey list.

The opening date is coming soon and they have already started accepting applications for jobs in Spokane via their website. For this, a look at that amazing whiskey list and more check them out at http://thepurgatory.com

Construction has started at the corner of Browne & Riverside ( 206 W. Riverside ) for a large new apartment building that is now one of the largest construction projects currently underway in the City Center. The site had last been utilized as a drive up bank building that closed a few years ago and that structure has already been demolished off of the lot with site work for the new building happening now.

The project will construct a six story building with 137 apartments that is comprised of a mix of studios, one and two-bedroom apartments. The apartments will be both workforce and market rate housing, a rep of the developer deChase Miksis, who kindly answered our request for info says that resident's will likely include urban transplants from larger metropolitan areas along with local resident's who desire to learn, work and play within a short distance of their home.

Photos taken by INBW staff last week, before the bulk of the site work started

Included in the project will be 57 secured parking stalls plus bike parking and easy access to public transportation including Spokane Transit's planned new City Line service coming in 2022.
