Local restaurant openings & closings - Aug 19th 2013

There are so many new restaurants coming and going from the area that there isn't even enough time to post them all. But here are some of the highlights, and keep checking back for more!

Villaggio / Vintages @ 611

Villaggio , a former South Hill pizza business is making it's return. The business which closed last year is returning as Villaggio Kitchen & Bar in the space that is currently Vintages @ 611 at 611 E. 30th Ave. also on the South Hill.

After the last year's closing of Villaggio , the businesses owners took over Vintages @ 611 and are now seeking to merge the 2 restaurants into one new concept. While the Vintages @ 611 name will disappear much of it's menu will not. However a new menu will expand the offerings ,adding several new specialty pizza's from the Villaggio pizza side of the business.

Vintages @ 611's menu consists of American , Italian and Mediterranean dishes. The business as is implied by the name will continue as a bar as well.

KC's Breakfast Club

Kc's Breakfast Club in Post Falls has closed. The business was located in the Plaza at Post Falls shopping center ( 740 N. Cecil Rd. ) . Aug. 11th was the breakfast and lunch businesses last day in business.

The PHAT Truck

With about a year in business The Phat Truck , a sandwich and burger food truck in Spokane has gone out of business. The truck closed rather unexpectedly with their last day in business was last weekend .

Northwest Pizza Company

Coeur d' Alene's Northwest Pizza Company will be moving soon from it's location at the corner of US 95 and Neider Ave. . The business has not yet released where they will move to, but according to the store's Facebook page it is looking to stay in ether Hayden , Coeur d' Alene or Post Falls.

The move is expected to happen in September or October.

Pita Pit

The Pita Pit chain is adding a new Spokane location. This time on the South Hill , the new store will open soon at 2916 S. Regal . The new location is expected to be much like the other locations with a note that this Pita Pit has applied for a liquor license.

I wouldn't expect a full bar or anything , but at least something to keep the chain fresh.

Adelo's Pizza

Adelo's has operated as Adelo's Take-N-Bake Pizza for the last couple of years at the Sundance Plaza, in Northwest Spokane's Indian Trail neighborhood. But the restaurant is undergoing a move and an expansion.

Adelo's is moving to the former Taco Del Mar restaurant space, next to the Sundance Plaza. The new space will allow the business to offer dine-in , take out and delivery. The business also plans to keep the take-n-bake pizza concept as well

And with the move comes a new name. The business will now operate as Adelo's Pizza , Pasta & Pints.

McDonald's

And since it's already been mentioned I won't go deep into the details other then to say the new McDonald's restaurant at the corner of Northwest Blvd. and Lakewood in Coeur d' Alene ( by Riverstone ) is now open.

The drive thru is open 24 hours and a grand opening is planned for next weekend.

Prior post about the 2 new McDonald's locations coming to the area can be found here-
