High end coffee shop to open in Downtown Spokane's Music City Building

Yet another renovation project will soon be bringing life back to another storefront on Downtown Spokane's western side. And, this one will mean Downtown will be gaining a new coffee shop unlike the others we have now.

Spokane based coffee roaster Roast House Coffee will take over 3000 square feet on the ground floor of the Music City Building at 1017 W. 1st, right by the Montvale Hotel. They will use the space as an upscale coffee establishment to be called First Ave Coffee.

This will be Roast House Coffee's first coffee house, although they do operate a tasting room in the same building as their production space at 423 E. Cleveland. Roast House will also continue to provide their coffee to numerous coffee shops and stands around the Inland Northwest.

We're told First Avenue Coffee will be " all about the coffee " they plan to have 5 pour over towers in addition to 4 espresso options. While there will be the more traditional coffee drinks served they also will provide organic high end small lots of coffees not previously available in Spokane. According to a recent article in the Spokesman Review some of the small lot coffees are worth more then $100 a pound with cups of coffee likely maxing out at around $20 a cup. But, yes there will be more standard espresso drinks available too, but why not try something new?

First Avenue will even have affogattos, nitro cold brew infusions and much more. There won't be much for food at First Avenue Coffee but they will likely have a small sweet selection. Construction has already begun and the plan is to have First Avenue Coffee open by April 1st.

There isn't a website for First Avenue Coffee just yet, but you can keep track of the progess on Facebook at- http://www.facebook.com/1stavecoffee
