Elliott's, an Urban Kitchen to enter soft opening mode tomorrow!

Don't let the N. Monroe construction stop you from coming down starting tomorrow ( Apr. 23rd ) for a cool local restaurant opening. Elliott's, an urban kitchen is small but awesome new place opening at 2209 N. Monroe in what was last 1889 Salvage ( they have since moved ).

Early reviews out of the gate are very positive and it's all locally owned and operated with a kitchen ran by Chef Tony Elliott, the former executive chef for Fairchild Air Force Base. The menu will be a contemporary American cuisine with beer, wine and a full bar.

Dishes will use fresh local and seasonal ingredients whenever possible with lunch, dinner and even a brunch menu for Saturday and Sunday. Their menu will match most any taste with such items as fresh green curry chicken, steak frites and an amazing looking clams and mussel chowder. There is also " shareables ", salads and more. Happy hour is 2-6 every day except Sunday and the menu mentions reserving a Chef's Table. But, we won't share everything you'll just have to check it out ( like we hope to soon... ).  Just note that the menu maybe limited during the soft opening portion of their opening.

But, as a tease of their food, here is a photo of that clam and mussel chowder they posted to their Facebook page recently-

And, while your visiting Elliott's, an Urban Kitchen don't forget to visit some of the other awesome local businesses that dot North Monroe. It's a really cool neighborhood and they really need our help to make it through the construction happening over the next few months, who know we may just #meetonmonroe !
