Market Street Pizzeria announces new Spokane Valley location.

Many consider Market Street Pizzeria as the best pizza place in Spokane. The locally owned brick oven pizza business has spent the last few years at 2721 N. Market and they plan to remain open there but will now also soon add new location in Spokane Valley.

Photo from the Market Street Pizzeria Facebook page.

The business confirmed via a social media post today what we've heard for a couple of weeks now that Market Street Pizza will be taking over the restaurant building by the corner of Sprague & Bowdish (11420 E. Sprague). The building was last used as Latin American eatery Marandos Bar & Restaurant, who is currently closed but reportedly looking for a new location now.

Market Street Pizza says in that post they plan this location will also have their family friendly, old school pizza parlor vibe. Additionally, they will be expanding upon their menu by adding pasta and burgers, and when we checked a few days ago with the business they indicated they hope to open the new location sometime in February, but we will be watching for an exact opening date.

They are now hiring for the new location, to find contact info and more information including their current menu / online ordering portal check- http://market-street-pizza.website.spoton.com

Island Style Food Truck to open a permanent restaurant home on Division.

For the last few years, the Island Style Food Truck has been serving up delicious Asian Fusion foods primarily inspired by the foods of the Philippines and Guam. Their blue truck has been spotted at all kinds of events, all around the region, but now they are planning to move up and open an actual permanent brick & mortar restaurant.

Island Style's new restaurant will be called Island Style Food & BBQ and will open in the Kabot's Kitchen building at 2931 N. Division, at the bottom of the Division St. Hill. The owners tell me the building will need some work before they can open there so they are currently hoping to open sometime around March or April of 2023.

The new restaurant will serve beer and wine in addition to a menu that they say will have "favorites and more to come". It also looks like they will still keep the food truck operating in addition to the physical location.

House of Brunch coming to Downtown Spokane

Looks like brunch in Spokane is about to get a whole lot better with a new restaurant called House of Brunch coming soon to Downtown Spokane.

The House of Brunch is to open in the former Sushi Sakai restaurant space at 818 W. Riverside (ground floor of the Lincoln Building). They tell me construction will begin soon to retrofit the space for their new business and hope to open around March 1st of 2023. They also tell me via email that they are "simply doing brunch the way we think it ought to be done with an extensive Sommelier picked champagne/sparkling wine list, eclectic coffee program, great local craft beer and of course a liquor license"

The menu will consist of chef inspired comfort food, with the classics still available for those feeling less adventurous. The new restaurant is planned to be open from 7a-5p, currently it appears they aren't on social media just yet, but a website is coming soon to http://thehouseofbrunch.com and we plan to share about this new place on our sites as we hear more.

Indoor Food Truck concept, Off The Wall coming soon to Downtown Spokane in early 2023

A new, fun and unique concept is coming to Downtown Spokane. Off The Wall, an indoor food truck says they will offer a little something for everyone and will be opening at 121 N Wall in early 2023.

The menu will offer tacos, gourmet hot dogs, soup, salad, fries, smash burgers, plus a full, but basic bar committed to drinks and not craft. Off The Wall is a creation of Josh and Katie Wade who also own and operate Nectar Wine and Beer, BARK a rescue pub, Fete - A Nectar Co. and Nectar Catering and Events. " The space is fun, bright and bold and will be a new scene for late night eats and drinks, fast casual family dining and a great place to watch the "game" in Downtown Spokane." says owner Katie Wade.

The restaurant was designed locally by Uptic Studios and will offer three different menus to choose from, a full bar, grab and go options and ordering from an actual indoor food truck. The location is in the final phases of construction and will announce and official opening date sometime in early 2023. Keep an eye out on Off The Wall's social media pages at- http://instagram.com/otwspokane / http://www.facebook.com/otwspokane or on their website at http://otwspokane.com

Buffalo Exchange, chain retailer of "new & used fashion" to open in Downtown Spokane

In 1974, while Spokane was celebrating a local World's Fair, a woman in Tucson, AZ had an idea for a concept of secondhand shops, where customers could both buy and sell their clothing. That year her and her husband started the shop in a 450 sq. foot space in Tucson, and it seems to have worked out as now almost 40 years later that business, Buffalo Exchange now has over 40 locations and is now coming soon to Downtown Spokane.

Buffalo Exchange, which already has locations as close as Seattle will open soon at 407 W. Main, which is the same storefront that was last used by the long running Millman Jewelers. We don't have an opening date just yet as we reached out to Buffalo Exchange's corporate offices in Arizona, but we're told it's too early to elaborate just yet. However, coming soon signs are already posted on the storefront's front windows.

The space is about 8700 Sq. Ft and surrounded by many other retailers and restaurants, like Auntie's Bookstore. According to the website of Buffalo Exchange the company is still owned by the founding woman (Kerstin Block) and her daughter Rebecca Block and includes a quote " What I'm most proud of is how much we've been able to empower women. That and the clothes. It's always been about the clothes"

INBW is now on Patreon. Please consider supporting us!

This post is a bit of a deviation of our normal posts, we will be back to construction and business news after this. But this post is intended to announce that you can now support Inland Northwest Business Watch on Patreon.

Patreon is a crowdfunding platform used by many creators, if you follow any YouTube channels, podcasts or some blogs you've likely heard of this site. It's to provide financial support to the creative community, and although many are more creative than I, I thought it might help the site. You do not need to donate to get the news from our site, this is just an option for those who might want to provide an extra thank you. We don't have a pay wall, there is no subscription fee, and we want to grow while keeping it that way.

One day I hope to make this site my full-time job, with INBW hosted events, a YouTube channel, Podcast and possibly improving the site. I don't know if this is possible but it's a goal and perhaps you have the means to help me obtain some version of this goal. I won't ask very often but if you are interested here is how to find out more, you can give $5-$50 a month-
