Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest recently announced their purchase of the former Sunshine Minting,Inc. facility at 750 W. Canfield on the north side of the Coeur d' Alene. After a remodeling project the facility will become the second location for Goodwill in Coeur d' Alene as they already operate a thrift store on N. 4th St. in Midtown Coeur d' Alene, which also was remodeled not long ago.
The new facility will house Goodwill's Workforce & Family Services (WFS), a retail store and donation center, and Ecommerce department. WFS and the business office spaces will comprise roughly 6000 square feet. The retail store and supporting production area will take 13,650 square feet, donation service center will be about 400 square feet, and the ECommerce department will be about 6000 square feet. "We look forward to expanding our service footprint in North Idaho" said Clark Brekke, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest. " We are eternally grateful for the support we receive from local donors and shoppers who partner with to provide a hand up to people in the community."
This new Coeur d' Alene Goodwill facility brings the count of Goodwill location in North Idaho to six. Other North Idaho locations include Post Falls, Ponderay, Moscow, and Lewiston. Architect for the project is LL Studio Architecture & Consulting. Baker Construction & Development will be the general contractor on the project.
