CdA VA Clinic building new, much larger facility

Veterans make up a large part of population of the Inland Northwest. And with possible military action in Syria on the horizon, that group may even become larger soon. Hence, one of the main reasons behind the VA ( Veterans Association ) investing in both Spokane and Coeur d' Alene recently.

Over the last couple of years the VA has invested great amounts in it's VA Hospital in Northwest Spokane. But now it's Coeur d' Alene's turn for improvements to the local VA facility.

Construction work is already well underway for a brand new VA clinic is a new much larger location. The new clinic site will be at 915 W. Emma Ave. just a couple of blocks south of Kootenai Health in a pleasant residential / office neighborhood that is still easy to find. The new site is also about 3 to 4 blocks south of the current Coeur d' Alene VA Clinic which is at 2177 Ironwood Center Dr.

The new VA Clinic will be significantly larger then the current clinic. In fact the new clinic will occupy over 16,000 square feet of space and will offer services such as-
mental health, an eye care center , audiology , physical therapy, tele-health , patient education , a on-site pharmacy and limited lab service.

The new clinic is scheduled to open in April 2014.
