Planet Fitness likely to replace South Hill Rite Aid

 

The closures of the Rite Aid drug store chain opened up a number of new spaces for sale or lease around the Inland Northwest. And it now appears that one of those locations on the South Hill in Spokane will have a new life soon as a Planet Fitness gym location.

While not confirmed by the company themselves, the space at 4514 S. Regal is no longer shown as for lease and is shown as a future Planet Fitness gym location on marketing flyers for nearby commercial real estate. As this was not confirmed by Planet Fitness corporate there is no known opening date for this location, but it is in a part of the region that doesn't have a location of the chain just yet.

Planet Fitness is a national chain of fitness clubs based in New Hampshire, known for low fees and long hours, many being open 24 hours a day. The company currently also has gyms on Northwest Blvd and N. Newport Hwy in Spokane, on E. Sprague in Spokane Valley and in an anchor space of Silver Lake Mall is Coeur d' Alene.
