Movie and Dinner to open Oct 5th - a sneak peek inside

Recently we we're able to get a private tour of one of the coolest new businesses coming to our area. That business is Movie and Dinner, which will be a dine in movie theater opening in a little more then a week in just steps away from Northern Quest Resort & Casino. The new business is a separate entity from Northern Quest but still part of the Tribe's campus. In fact, there even will be a covered walkway coming from Northern Quest to Movie and Dinner. And, Camas card holders will even be able to use their players club card benefits at the new theater.

Movie and Dinner is unique and not like the other dine in theater concepts seen from the big chain theater companies. They consider themselves a " restaurant with auditoriums " with a menu that allows for any budget. Guests can even enjoy lunch and dinner without seeing a movie.

The menu will also have something for every taste from Middle Eastern to more standard pub options and so much more. With their parent company being based in Kansas, they'll also have what promises to be some delicious Kansas City BBQ. Drink wise they will have Coke freestyle machines, beer, wine and spirts but they will be a family friendly establishment.

The business will have 8 auditoriums showing first run films, all opening Oct 5th. Movie and Dinner's auditoriums are smaller and more intimate with reserved seating in super comfortable recliners with huge screens. There really isn't a bad seat in the house, and they've really thought of everything! From exits away from the screen so no annoying exit light in the your view to no tipping which means no signature and no need for the awkward moment of the server bringing in a receipt at the best parts of the movie. This is the way movies are supposed to be seen!

Movie and Dinner will employ 50 and they officially opens Oct 5th, but watch for a grand opening event along with Cyber Quest / Kids Quest coming October 11-13th.

Tickets are on sale now! They can be purchased online at their website http://movieanddinner.com .

Currently opening weekend they will be showing A Star is Born , Venom and few more to be announced soon. Also if your planning an event soon take note because Movie and Dinner can even rent out their auditoriums for groups.

Movie and Dinner is located at 10893 W. Northern Quest Dr. , in addition to their website they can be contacted by phone at 509-381-0893. Thanks again to Movie and Dinner for the tour and we highly recommend checking them out soon!

New Pediatric office to open on the South Hill

The newest Pediatric office in the Lilac City, Spokane Pediatrics will begin scheduling appointments on Oct. 1st. The new clinic is led by Dr. Kimberly Grandinetti, M.D FAAP and Kimberly Resleff, ARNP who we're both raised here in Spokane.

Dr. Grandinetti M.D FAAP on the right, Resleff ARNP on the left

Their office they say will be an intentionally small practice, this way patients won't see a "revolving door of practitioners, but will instead build realtionships with a small staff dedicated to their health ". Some of the benefits of this are same day appointments, no automated phone system, care that extends through college ( up to age 21 ) and more.

Spokane Pediatrics new office can be found not far from Sacred Heart Hospital at 315 W. Ninth Suite 200. They can be reached at 509-960-8894 and more information can be found on their website http://spokane-pediatrics.com

Wonder Building secures it's first office tenant

One of the more exciting projects happening locally, the former Wonder Bread factory's renovation will be complete soon. Once finished it will house about 100,000 square feet of office space and an artisan market space all operating under the new Wonder Building name and located nearby Downtown as well as the Spokane Arena at 821 W. Mallon.

When pre-leasing began a few months ago it was announced that JLL and NAI Black we're planning to market the building to both national and local companies in hope of filling the new spaces with exciting, growing companies. Now we're learning the first of these companies will be Parametrix, a Seattle based civil engineering firm.

Parametrix already has an office in Spokane at 106 W. Mission and they will relocate from that office to the new space. At the Wonder Building, Parametrix will occupy about 8,000 square feet with tenant improvement permits already filed with the City of Spokane. The company employs about 40 locally and they hope to be operating out of the new space by December.

For more information on Parametrix, visit- http://www.parametrix.com
