Amy's Donuts will open this month in Spokane Valley

Back in April we learned Amy's Donuts, a small chain of donut shops was coming our way. And, now after months of construction the business is about to open here in the Spokane area. This will be their fourth store overall but a fifth is already in the works in New Mexico. They we're founded in 2013 in Colorado Springs and have risen to fame via social media pages in each city they call home.

Amy's Donuts fourth location will open October 25th at 11519 E. Sprague Ave, in what was formerly a Mexican restaurant.. And it's really there donuts that make them unique, with a menu of everything from the standards up to crazy. Among the offers at Amy's Donuts are cotton candy, maple bacon fudge, vanilla cheesecake donuts and dozens more. Donuts topped with all kinds of cereals and candy bars, there's even a few seasonal offerings, there's so many donuts!

The shop will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except Thanksgiving and Christmas. It will be in a roughly 3000 square foot space with inside seating for about 50. The outside of the shop is adorned with bright colors and a very cool Spokane mural being done by a talented local artist.

Keep watching this page as we hope to check out the new Amy's Donuts shortly after opening. In the meantime more info about their business can be found on http://amysdonuts.com

Not just Amazon coming to the Geiger Blvd corridor

Creating over 2000 jobs in a massive new warehouse, Spokane’s planned Amazon fulfillment center is the biggest project going up on the West Plains. But, it’s far from the only thing coming to that area.

Spokane County is applying for a grant to upgrade Geiger Blvd. and a couple other roadways in the area. The news about that grant can be found at http://www.khq.com/story/39252075/16-million-grant-requested-for-geiger-blvd-infrastructure-improvements

But, what’s news for this site is the sneak peek at other projects via a map included in the grant documents. I’ll include it below, but it shows Kenworth is planning a facility to employ 150, Shredfast also has a building in the works. And, many new homes and apartments are also in the works.

This won’t all happen overnight, and I know the LaQuinta Inn project has been in the works for approximately two years now so it’s impossible to predict any of these projects but it’s safe to say the West Plains is growing!

Three Ninjas to open brick & mortar restaurant in Kendall Yards

Three Ninjas Mobile Food has been a staple of local food truck events since their founding in 2014. And, now they're taking the next step into owning and operating an actual full time brick and mortar spot. Albeit a small spot...

Three Ninjas plans on opening soon at 1198 W. Summit Pkwy in the heart of Kendall Yards, this is the former Solace Mead and Cider storefront. While Kendall Yards is known for being home to several of Spokane's best restaurants, this will basically be the first quick service / take away dining option in the neighborhood.

Their space will be a little over 300 square feet with a very small dining area and the ability to pick up orders to go. If all goes as planned the new restaurant will open around Nov 1st and will serve a small menu that's similar to their current food truck menu of fusion tacos, wraps and more. They plan to continue the food truck side of the business as well.

For more information on Three Ninjas, find them on Facebook at-
