New restaurants coming to the Coeur d' Alene area

In the middle of July, I posted about several new restaurants coming to the Spokane area, because despite the ever changing Covid rules, places are still planning on opening and they deserve to be noticed! Now it's the places opening soon in the Coeur d' Alene area's turn to be highlighted...

Like before this is not a complete list, just what comes to mind. Some will probably get full posts of their own on here someday, this is just meant to be a quick look. And, if you have any leads about places I've missed feel free to reach out to me at inlandbusiness@yahoo.com .

River City Pizza

With locations in Otis Orchards and Spokane Valley, River City Pizza will be opening their first location in Idaho soon. The locally owned pizza restaurant will be in the small strip mall at the corner of Prarie & Atlas on the north side of Coeur d' Alene.

32 Below Frozen Yogurt & More

Watch for 32 Below to open soon in the newly built plaza out front on The Northern at Coeur d' Alene Place on Ramsey Rd.( address is 2045 Tea Olive Ln. Ste 101 ).

As is implied by the name, 32 Below is a frozen yogurt place, but it will be a bit different then all the other ones out there. That's because they will also sell beer and wine in addition to 12 rotating flavors of Froyo.

Gelato by the Lake

Gelato by the Lake is a new gelato shop now open for business in Downtown Coeur d' Alene at 217 E. Sherman Ave.

Wilder Coffee Roasters

Serving up what they call " hand crafted, artfully roasted, small batch coffee ", Wilder Coffee Roasters has opened up their small new slow bar in Downtown Coeur d' Alene at 211 E. Lakeside Ave.

Giorgi's Restaurant

With a menu of breakfast and lunch, Giorgi's Restaurant , who got it's start in Rathdrum,  will be opening soon in the former Roger's Burgers location out front of At Home at 155 W. Neider Ave.

Roger's Burgers

Since I mentioned a new restaurant going into a former Roger's Burgers location about I figured it was important to point out that Roger's isn't gone. In fact the locally owned and operated burger and ice cream chain is just re-locating that location to all new building they are building now under construction at 2420 N. Government Way in Coeur d' Alene.

Izzy's Comfort Kitchen

Described as a comfort food bistro with southern charm, Izzy's Comfort Kitchen will be opening for business in the coming weeks at 726 N. 4th St , the former home of Ten/6. There is no opening date announced just yet but they are already hiring for their job openings.

Ten/6

Ten/6 is coming back too. The restaurant was a Alice in Wonderland inspired breakfast and lunch restaurant that had quite the following. They recently announced they plan to re-open in 2021 at 7th and Wallace, still in Coeur d' Alene.

Sherman Food Court

A new food truck pod called Sherman Food Court has opened in what was last used as a Vet's office parking lot at 1902 E. Sherman, just east of Downtown Coeur d' Alene. So far a truck from Iron Pizza ( who also has a restaurant at 4th & Best ) and a poke' trailer called Poke me Poke you have signed up for the new site.

India House Restaurant

It looks like crews are finally working on a new Indian restaurant coming soon to Post Falls. We don't have much info on it yet other then to say it will be called India House and is planned to open in the strip mall nearby Wal-Mart at 740 N. Cecil in Post Falls.

Fast food

In this day and age I encourage everyone to try a local restaurant first over the big chains. But I at least have to mention there has been some moves of local chain locations. Here's the scoop on those-

1. Carl's Jr. has built a new location at 106 Appleway and they have moved here from an older restaurant they had a few blocks east of this site. In fact this location was last a Burger King

2. Burger King has built an all new location, they are now open for business at 3827 Ramsey Rd in Coeur d' Alene.

3. Dairy Queen is returning. The chain closed their location on Appleway in Coeur d' Alene a couple of years ago. But,it looks like Dairy Queen will be coming back as their website now shows a new location planned at " 95 & Hayden Ave " in Hayden. Not much else is known about this planned location yet however.
