Permits applied for new Lego Store at River Park Square

Although not confirmed by Lego or River Park Square's management, building permit records are indicating that a new Lego store is coming soon to Downtown Spokane.

Lego applied for a permit yesterday via a permit filing company for a 7020 SF street level retail store. The store is to occupy suite 121, which has been vacant and was last used by The North Face prior to their move. The North Face now occupies another street facing space in-between the Apple Store and Urban Outfitters

Permit data on file with the City of Spokane indicate they are planning a tenant improvement of the suite including "mechanical, electrical, plumbing and display shelving". The general contractor for the project is Planit Construction of Fort Lauderdale,FL with architectural work done by Nelson Worldwide of Cincinnati,OH and engineering by Marque Engineering also of Cincinnatti,OH. . The building permit application is currently in plan review and not approved, so an opening date is not available. We will update/do another post on this site when we learn more about the planned store.

Noteworthy on this news is a locally owned and operated Lego product business called Brick Buy Brick recently opened at 3915 N. Monroe St in the Garland District. While not affiliated with the Lego company or this recent permit app, it is important to remember our city's local alternative. Check them out http://brickbuybrickspokane.com
