H&M to open store at Northtown Mall

Looks like the Sweden based " fast-fashion " retailer H&M is planning to have a second store in the Spokane market sometime later this year. There isn't a set opening date but construction permits are currently pending for a H&M location in Northtown Mall. The chain's other Spokane store opened in late 2012 and remains open on the first floor of Spokane Valley Mall.

H&M will occupy a section on the second floor of Northtown Mall, near Macy's and by the portion of the mall that underwent renovations recently. A local retailer , The Comic Book Store, had previously been in the area the will be remodeled for H&M but that store was moved a few weeks ago in preparation for this then un-named chain retailer. The Comic Book Store is still on the mall's second floor but now located in-between the food court and Kohl's.

Store size , amount of employees and opening date will be updated as we get them....

H&M is a trendy chain of retail stores selling men's , women's , teen and children's clothing and accessories at prices often marked lower then most other mall based businesses. H&M ( which stands for Hennes & Mauritz ) is based in Stockholm, Sweden and today operates about 4000 stores in 62 countries. It is one of just a few primarily mall based retailers that are still in an expansion mode.

H&M has also been rumored to be interested in opening a store in Downtown Spokane and with the recent renovations to "The M" it appeared possible. But, with this news it seems unlikely that we will see a Downtown H&M, but there is nothing confirmed yet...
