Work starting for new Carl's Jr. on Northwest Blvd.

Carl's Jr. is continuing to expand their presence in Spokane. The California based fast food chain, via a Boise based franchisee have started work on another new location, this time in front of the former Albertson's store on Northwest Blvd. in-between Maple & Ash. This is latest phase of re-development for that site as the formerly abandoned grocery store has now been split and recently re-opened as a Planet Fitness gym and a Goodwill store / donation center.

Carl's Jr. also recently opened a new location in the 1200 block of N. Division on the site of the former National Furniture store. That makes this new planned location their tenth location in the Inland Northwest.

The new location will sit right at the corner of Northwest Blvd. and Maple , directly across from where a Jack in the Box location opened in 2015. The restaurant will take space that had been used as a parking lot for the Goodwill / Planet Fitness .The new Carl's Jr. will be 2,430 square feet with a drive thru lane and space for about a dozen cars to park ( excluding the spaces next door at the main building ).

Most people already know what Carl's Jr. is so I won't go to in depth into that except to mention that the company was founded some 75 years ago as a hot dog cart in Los Angeles. Today their parent company ( CKE Restaurants ) has almost 1400 locations branded as Carl's Jr and follows it's sister brand Hardee's almost exactly in menu offerings / pricing / policies, etc... .
