The Mango Tree Indian Kitchen + Tap House to replace Hill's in Downtown Spokane

Hills Restaurant & Lounge was a favorite of many, but as many now know the Downtown eatery closed their doors for the last time on Feb. 28th, the owners cite many reasons for this closure. But, while Hill's is no more their building won't be empty for very long.

The building, which can be found at 401 W. Main, across from Auntie's Bookstore has already been leased and will continue to be a resturant. It will become a new location of The Mango Tree Indian Kitchen + Tap House with renovations to begin later this month.

The Mango Tree opened just last year over in Coeur d' Alene and is actually affiliated with small Canadian chain. The menu however is somewhat different then that of their Canadian locations. The menu of The Mango Tree is focused on curry dishes and grilled items although the restaurant has most all common Indian dishes from Tandoor Chicken to Butter Chicken, Kebab's and everything in-between. As is implied by the name dinners also can order from a selection of beers and wines and appitzers and desserts are available.

The new Mango Tree location in Downtown Spokane is planned to open sometime in May.
