Super 1 Foods growing and now open in Bonners Ferry

The Hayden,Idaho based grocery store chain Super 1 Foods has expanded by 1 more new location. The newest Super 1 is in the small Boundary County town of Bonners Ferry. Super 1 Foods which is ran out of the Hayden store is a sister company of the Spokane based grocery supply company URM Stores. Super 1 has seen some expansion lately despite the tough local economy with the last location opening only a short time ago in Sandpoint and rumors have even come up for a new store in Athol. Other established Super 1 Foods locations are found throughout North Idaho,Spokane and Western Montana.

But enough about Super 1 as a company the newest grocery opened last week at Bonners Ferry,The new grocery store has created aprox. 80 new jobs for the small town . The store is a full service grocery in about 49,000 sq feet of space. The new store features everything one would expect with grocery, frozen, bakery and deli items. But that's not all as the new Bonners Ferry Super 1 Foods store also offers a pharmacy and organic and gluten free items. The new store is a welcome addition to the town as the counties unemployment rate has hovered around 14% for sometime now.
