Spokane Tribe Casino recently announced and has already broken ground on a new expansion at their site along US 2 on the western edge of Airway Heights. The project is part of the Spokane Tribe's Economic Development Plan, which calls for continued development of the Casino and many other ventures at the site which will be coming in the future months and years.

The expansion will double the size of the current facility, adding over 20,000 square feet of Casino and other gaming amenities. It will also double the size of Whaluks, the current casino floor bar and add a new restaurant which will be announced more in-depth at a later date. The size of the non-smoking gaming section will also be significantly increased in the expansion.

Construction started in December and will continue until completion in late 2021. Swinerton Builders is the general contractor and Cuningham Group is the project's architect. The Tribe estimates that over 300 construction and casino jobs will be created as a direct result of this expansion.
