Giving Back

If you live in the Eastern Washington chances are good you've traveled I-90 west out of Spokane towards Seattle,in fact everyday 17,000 vehicles pass thru the stretch of I-90 in between Spokane and Ritzville but what most don't think about is what could happen as they travel this largely rural freeway passing by tiny towns like Sprague and Fishtrap.Lincoln County Fire District 1's first responder team would respond should anything happen. However they do all that they can without having a 24 hour emergency response center. So now after a try on the ballot Lincoln County Fire District 1 is heading to you for donations on this much needed 2.4 million dollar project. The new emergency responce center will have 3 bedrooms for firefighters staying on site,a law enforcement room for use by police/sheriff,etc.. and a safe room for women and children in harm's way .The project is big for such a remote county but will be needed in the coming years and will stand up much better then their small existing building. If your interested in donating contact the Lincoln County Fire District 1 directly by visiting their website at http://www.lcfd1firstresponders.com or by calling 509-257-2926
