Miso Fresh Asian opens in Spokane

After a lengthy remodel Miso Fresh Asian , a brand new Asian fast food concept restaurant is now open in the food courts at both Northtown Mall and Downtown Spokane's River Park Square Mall . Miso takes the place of the former Edo Japan restaurants which closed a couple of months ago after Edo's Canadian parent company backed out of many of it's US locations to focus on that chains locations in Canada.

Miso Fresh Asian is a local business ran by Jay Underwood and Stephanie Vigil-Underwood . Even the menu is a creation of a local as the menu is the brainchild of Chef Curtis Smith who is also a instructor at Spokane's Inland Northwest Culinary Academy. The menu at Miso is inspired by the foods of Southeast Asia and are quite new for the fast food / food court restaurant scene. The cuisine at Miso is described and Southeastern Asian street cuisine and does include such common dishes like Teriyaki Chicken for those who aren't as adventurous when it comes to eating out.

Meals are cooked right in front of the customer at Miso in a stir fry pan on a gas fired range. The restaurants are a unique bright and attention getting white and bright green, a design that was created by local business, Paint Room Studios.
