Downtown Coeur d' Alene shuttle services begins

Anybody who's visited Coeur d' Alene lately knows the construction work going on for the massive McEuen Park re build project is tying up parking and making even getting around Downtown Coeur d' Alene a major issue at times. This has hurt many downtown businesses with fewer customers then in years past visiting the small businesses that rely on these Summer months to make the majority of their profits.

And to answer the problem the City of Coeur d' Alene, working with regional bus service, Citylink have announced the beginning of a new Downtown shuttle bus service that will circle the main business core and provide a free ride to visitors parked in the cities 2 public parking lots.

The new shuttle will begin operation this Saturday , just in time for Car d' Alene , and will continue thru Labor Day .  Rides will be free and the bus will pick up / drop off riders at the Memorial Field parking lot on Northwest Blvd. ( pick up spot is the former restaurant building across from the Spokesman Review office building ) as well as the new public lot behind city hall next to the McEuen Park work site.

In the buses route stops are available on the return run at Lakeside and 6th , 4th and 2nd St. . The service will continue until Labor Day and will run 7 days a week with service from 9:30am till 6:30pm Monday thru Saturday and Sunday 11am till 5pm.
