Usually an expansion of a Hawaii based chain of coffee roasters & retailers wouldn't make the Inland Northwest Business Watch page, although it would be good news. But in this case it is news for this site, because that business, Maui Coffee Roasters has chosen to open their first mainland location right here in the Inland Northwest.
Maui Coffee Roasters, operating here as Maui Coffee Roasters USA opened the location in a renovated coffee drive up at 9611 E. Trent Ave. in Spokane Valley, in between Argonne and Sullivan Roads. The chain also plans to use the new Spokane Valley location as prototype store for future expansion into the Northwestern US. Maui, plans to open many more locations, including as many as 10 around the Spokane and Coeur d' Alene area.
Maui Coffee Roasters serves a good amount of coffee's roasted by the company in Maui then shipped directly to Spokane. The company is known as a micro- roaster and has been in business since 1982. The location also offers a food menu with bread items and baked goods inspired by the cuisine of Hawaii.
Maui Coffee Roasters also operates a retail location in Tokyo,Japan.
