After a tease of a major bookstore location at Coeur d' Alene's Riverstone a few years back. Riverstone will finally get a bookstore and it's planned to open in the near future.
That new bookstore is to be called, The Well Read Moose, and will be located at 2048 N. Main in the heart of Riverstone's main shopping core with just under 3,000 square feet of space. Currently we don't have an official opening date for store however the opening was mentioned as April in a recent column published in The Coeur d' Alene Press.
And since bookstore's aren't as successful as they once we're due to the use of the internet, The Well Read Moose will be much more then just a bookstore. The store will also sell wine via an in store wine bar and offer a variety of other gift items.
Riverstone was originally planned to have a Barnes & Noble Bookstore location, which backed out of the Coeur d' Alene shopping center a few years ago after cutbacks in that chain's expansion plans. However don't count on the same issue arising because The Well Read Moose is a locally owned and operated business. Interestingly enough as is The Culinary Stone, which now acts as an anchor at Riverstone in the space that was to be Barnes & Noble.
