We've all be seeing that large new medical complex going up along I-90 just East of the Spokane Valley Mall for the last several months. But recently, since most of the work is now being done on the interior there hasn't been too much new to see there. But by the end of this month all of that will change as the all new, Providence Medical Park at Spokane Valley is set to open to the public on April 28th.

The Providence Medical Park, seen above, marks a big move for Providence as they continue to expand their regional footprint further into the Valley. The Valley medical scene has been primarily dominated Rockwood Health System and their Valley Hospital a few miles west of this new complex.

The new Spokane Valley Medical Park is a campus that is made up of two buildings each connected in the middle by skywalk/ breezeway. The Park is not a new hospital but does feature many medical specialties and features. Among what is included at this new complex will be-

-An Urgent Care Center ( located on the main floor, open from 8am - 8pm )

-Family Medicine offices

-Internal Medicine offices

-Cardiology specialty services

-Inland Imaging Radiology Services

-A on site pharmacy

-A Thomas Hammer Coffee shop

-Gastroenterology specialty services
 -Neurology specialty services

-Orthopedics specialty services

-Rheumatology specialty services

The Providence Medical Park is also easy to access, the complex is located at 16528 E. Desmet Court but just east of the I-90 / Sullivan Rd. exit and only feet off of the new Indiana Ave arterial extension.

The medical campus sits on about 11 acres of land and has about 135,000 square feet of total space. It is thought that this new medical campus may bring more medical type businesses to the new neighborhood, called Hanson Center East. So far, however the only other unrelated medical business to have recently moved into the area was a new office of Seattle Reproductive Medicine called SRM Spokane which opened late last year closer to the Sullivan / Indiana intersection. We are hearing of some speculation on more and will have more on that as it happens.
