Several new restaurants now open in Spokane

The Inlander's 2015 Restaurant Week may be in the record books, but that doesn't mean we have to stop exploring the ever growing dining scene here in the Inland Northwest. So, here are a selection ( probably not all that opened, but some ) of new restaurants, etc... that have all opened for business within the last couple of weeks:

Caffe Affogato

A new upscale coffee shop within the new Saranac Commons building at 19 W. Main in Downtown Spokane. They will also soon be joined by Mediterrano in another space in the same building.

Globe Bar & Kitchen

Only about a block away from Caffe Affogato, and over on N. Division is Globe Bar & Kitchen in the historic Globe Hotel building. Another bar called the Globe also once existed at this building.

The Globe Bar & Kitchen's address is 204 N. Division . This new business is one of the more interesting on this list, because it's a little bit of everything. The Globe offers a club like atmosphere with a sports bar and a full restaurant.

The food menu at The Globe is headed up by Executive Chef William Webster and features burgers , sandwiches,  some entrees and more.

Café Rio South Hill

Now open and joining the line up of new restaurants in the South Hill's new Regal Plaza shopping center is Café Rio. Their address is 4911 S. Regal Ave. .

The restaurant is part of the Utah based Café Rio chain of fast casual Mexican restaurants that also has locations in Spokane Valley and Coeur d' Alene.

* Speaking of the Regal Plaza development, another new restaurant there Jersey Mike's Subs is to open this week. Supposedly on Wednesday, this is the first location of that chain in the Spokane area.

Freedom Burrito

Now open in a strip mall in the 1600 E. Seltice Way by ACE Hardware in Post Falls is a small locally owned and operated burrito restaurant called Freedom Burrito.

The space was last Donut Dugout ( who moved across the street ) , as of right now this about all the info we have on this particular business.
