It's been one of the biggest rumors I've heard around the area. And even one I get asked about from time to time . So I figured I'd do some digging to see if the Chipotle Mexican Grill chain is planning to open a store in Coeur d' Alene.
And here is what I found out....
Despite the strong rumor, it appears that no stores are planned for CDA. That is however at this time, I inquired with Chipotle who says they have nothing on their lists but admits the would probably do good here(Although this is probably their response to all requests like this ) .
I have however heard from a reader that an employee of the Spokane Chipotle mentioned Coeur d' Alene was getting one. So maybe one is in the early planning phases but I wouldn't count on it anytime too soon.
For now Chipotle Mexican Grill does still operate 1 location in our area. That location is in Spokane in the 900 block of N. Division just south of the Gonzaga University campus.
