Spokane Teachers Credit Union (a.k.a STCU) has announced their plans to move into the historic Hutton Building at 9 S. Washington St. in Downtown Spokane.

STCU will open a new branch office on the ground floor and use the top 2 floors of the building to house the Credit Union's commercial lending operations. The commercial lending department had been in leased space at the Schade Towers Building on Trent Ave. . The Credit Union will also keep it's branch at the Schade Towers Building ,moving only the commercial lending division to the Hutton. It is also likly that other, yet to be named, operations may take up the former commercial lending space at the Schade Towers Building.

The Hutton Building has strugled in recent times even entering into foreclosure in 2012. Other then STCU's space the remainder of the building will be sold as office space.

Once open the new branch in the Hutton Building will be the 17th branch for the Liberty Lake based Credit Union.
