A new business, with and interesting concept is planning to open up shop in Downtown Spokane soon. The concept is like no other Spokane business today and will open in a space that has a history of having issues with the " street kids " of Downtown.
It's too early right now to know all the details of this business. However we do now know the business will be called Spokane Downtown Daiquiri Factory and appears to be using just the Daiquiri Factory name in it's logo. The business is not affiliated with the other Daiquiri Factory which is located in Midtown Atlanta, GA as was originally rumored.
The new Spokane Downtown Daiquiri Factory will be owned by local businessman Jamie Pendleton who is also the owner of Pendleton Broadcasting, the owner of 104.5 Jamz, a Spokane based hip hop radio station.
The Spokane Downtown Daiquiri Factory will be a club like establishment playing hip hop music and catering to younger people and offering a dance floor. And as the name would imply, The Daiquiri Factory will also have a variety of flavors of Daiquiri's .There is no mention yet however of other drinks or if the business will also have a food menu.
There is also no set opening date for the business as of yet but the liquor license has been filed for and a Facebook account has been established but that too doesn't give too many details, yet.
The location of this new business is what will surely be what people will be talking about however. The Daiquiri Factory will be located at 121 N. Wall St. which was last a short lived French crepe style eatery called Beignet's. Beignet's closed abruptly earlier this year after being open for only a few months. That business said their reason for closing was issues with loitering kids and homeless people . Many of which would hang out outside of the business bothering the businesses patron's , it will be interesting to see if this continues to be an issue for this new business.
