DownEast Basics moves , to replace Valley Mall store with sister chain

DownEast Basics , a fashion retailer in the Spokane Valley Mall has closed it's store on the mall's west side near the Thomas Hammer Coffee Shop. But fans of the chain don't have to worry because DownEast has not left Spokane entirely and the company will continue a presence in the Valley Mall just with a new name and branding.

The DownEast Basics store has moved and is now open in another location still in Spokane Valley. The new store is located at 15735 E. Broadway and is about 6,000 square feet, which is larger then the companies location in the Mall. DownEast Basics is a fashion retailer featuring many women's clothing items and accessories. The chain is based in Salt Lake City, Utah and operates many locations around the West , including some with both home and appeal sections.

The space in the Spokane Valley Mall that DownEast vacated won't be vacant long as remodeling work is already well underway and the space will re-open with a new brand name called Lemon Ice. The new Lemon Ice store will cater to teens and 20 something's primarily . The new Lemon Ice mall store is expected to open within the next week or two.
