Value Village now open in new Spokane Valley location

This past Labor Day weekend while some we're out checking out the many local events, many we're also out and about checking out a big grand opening in Spokane Valley. That grand opening was for the new Spokane Valley Value Village store.

The Spokane Valley location of the Value Village chain is far from new but it is now in a new location that is much larger then the previous store only a short drive away on Sprague Ave. . Value Village felt is it was time to expand the companies Spokane Valley store due to a rapid increase in the popularity of thrift store shopping both locally and nationally.

The store is now located in the Opportunity Plaza Shopping Center nearby the corner of E. Sprague and Pines Rd. ( 12205 E. Sprague Ave. ) . The new location is also the site of the store's community donation center.Value Village pays its nonprofit partners for every donated item, whether it makes it to the sales floor or not and in the case of the Spokane Valley store proceeds go to non-profit partners: Arc of Spokane and The Northwest Center.

The new store has a larger size with over 25,000 square feet of space, enough room for over 100,000 unique items. In addition 10,000 new gently used items are stocked on the stores floor every day, making Value Village one of the largest thrift stores in the Spokane area. Value Village also operates a store in the City of Spokane along Boone Ave. across from the Spokane Arena.

The Value Village chain is a national company operating over 320 locations across North America. The company itself was founded in the 1950's with a core concept of giving back to the community. In addition to non profit donations the company also provides jobs with the new Spokane Valley store employing about 50.

The Spokane Valley Value Village store is open Monday thru Saturday 9am till 9pm and Sunday 10am till 7pm. For more info the store's phone number is 509-921-7889 and the company web site is-
