St. Vincent de Paul opening new thrift store in Silver Valley

Known to many Coeur d' Alene and Post Falls area locals as St. Vinny's . The non profit St. Vincent de Paul program and thrift store is expanding to serve even more of North Idaho with a new thrift store location. This time in the Silver Valley town of Osburn.

St. Vincent de Paul operates many programs for the poor and needy in the Coeur d' Alene area with assistance programs and even housing programs for those who may not have another way of putting a roof over there heads. And one the main ways of funding all of St. Vincent de Paul's local good works is via the organizations thrift stores.

Currently, St. Vincent de Paul operates 2 thrift stores. One at the corner of N. Government Way and Walnut Ave in Coeur d' Alene and the other at 201 W. Seltice Way in Post Falls. But soon St. Vincent's will be adding a 3rd location. And this time the new location will be in a part of North Idaho that isn't served as much by the organization, but still has important needs none the less. The new location will open very soon in the Silver Valley.

The new Silver Valley St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store will hold a grand opening next week and will be a full thrift store just like the other 2 locations. The new store will be about 6,000 square feet and will sell everything the other stores have in the past including clothes, books, furniture , electronics , dishes / housewares and much more.

The new Silver Valley location is also very easy to find, being just off of I-90 at exit 57 in the town of Osburn. The store's address is 415 W. Mullan Ave. . Once open and within a month St. Vincent de Paul also plans to open a small office inside of the store to provide social services to the residents of the Silver Valley.

St. Vincent de Paul also does also have plans for a 4th store coming to Sandpoint in the future. Plans are not as far a long however for the Sandpoint St. Vinny's. That store, is expected to open sometime in 2014 but even that is not yet official.
