Green Bluff farm adding The 238 Brewing Co. microbrewery

Green Bluff is by no match the best place in Eastern Washington for family farm fun. With 30+ farms one can find everything from fruits and vegetable's to Christmas Trees depending in part on the season. But more and more the growers on Green Bluff , north of Spokane , and growing a new crop... "adult beverages".

Green Bluff is already home to a winery , a recently opened meadery and 1 brewery called Big Barn Brewing Co. which plans to move into a more permanent tap room in the future on their farm's site ( Big Barn Brewing Co. is at Bodacious Berries farm ). But probably by next summer , Big Barn won't be the only brewery on the Bluff.

That's because plans are in the works for The 238 Brewing Company. A new small microbrewery which is shooting for an opening in July of 2014. The business filed for a liquor license earlier this month and has a growing Facebook page already up and running.

The 238 Brewing Company will be at The Legacy Farm which is located on Green Bluff at 10321 E. Day Mt. Spokane Rd. . The farm and future brewery are only a brief drive east of Beck's Harvest House.

The 238 Brewing Company as described on their new Facebook page will be a "small-ish" batch craft brewery centering on a core of original ales and seasonal specialties . The brewery will have a tasting room and growlers of beer to go. Some events may also happen once the 238 opens next year.
